Brian Wilson combines national government affairs experience with local project success. As a senior legislative assistant to Senator Trent Lott for five years, Wilson managed an array of policy areas including appropriations, the environment, and natural resources. Wilson managed approximately $200 million in funding for Mississippi projects annually through the Energy & Water, Agriculture, Interior & Environment, and VA-HUD Appropriations bills. Wilson served as field director for Lieutenant Governor Amy Tuck's reelection, a field representative for Senator Roger Wicker's first U.S. House campaign, and has worked on other congressional and statewide campaigns. Wilson has served on local Republican committees since 1992 in leadership positions as well as a delegate to state and national Republican Conventions. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area.

In addition to his work with Capstone, Wilson is the principle of Commonwealth Public Affairs which has successfully handled projects for local and state governments, as well as clients in education, tourism, and the defense industry. Wilson serves as founding executive director of the Noxubee Alliance, a public-private partnership promoting economic development, tourism, and community development in Noxubee County. The Noxubee Alliance recently landed the county's largest economic development project in the county's history, and Wilson's leadership has earned the 2008 Community Economic Development Award from the Mississippi Development Authority and the Mississippi Economic Development Council.

Brian has helped me steer millions of dollars in Federal funding to large and small communities all across Mississippi. In the process, we have improved infrastructure, created hope and opportunity in communities where none existed before, and provided a better quality of life for Mississippians throughout the State. Brian is truly one of those unique individuals who has a thirst for knowledge about the issue areas he is assigned.

Craig Whitehead of Koch Foods singled out Noxubee Alliance director Brian Wilson for his 'professionalism above and beyond' the company's expectations. Koch Foods is the single largest economic development project in Noxubee County history.
